Animated pfp’s not animating #3068

Animated PFPs (e.g. Nokiamon gifs) appear to be animating in some places and not others. This might also be based on which build was active when the PFP was initially uploaded. Nokiamon gifs are a different file format to Claynosaurz (not sure who is using a Claynosaurz to test).

Some locations to test:

  • Lock screen
  • Notifications friend requests
  • Profile @trucy is not animating, whereas @aaron is
  • Messages
  • Messages/1:1 chat header
  • Messages/Group chat members list
  • Messages/Chat text bubbles
  • Pop-over account switcher menu
  • Settings
  • Friends list
  • Pending friends list
  • Friend requests sent list

Cant reproduce this on both the profiles
