artifacts in i3-gaps when closing certain windows...

Steps of reproduction

in i3-gaps, Opening 2 or more Geany(or chromium or perhaps other GUI windows) windows, and then closing them produces artifacts behind the windows while they are closing....

Notice that this happens with and without compton (happens also after running sudo killall compton)...I am hoping to use compton to get rid of this issue but i don't know how...

Expected behavior

No artifacts.

I kind of resolved this by swtiching to the intel modesetting driver... look here:
