More examples in README

I would like to see more examples in the README. Happy to provide them myself as a PR but only want to do so if they have a hope of being merged. Is the repo still active?

I saw you in a lot of issue threads. Do you know anything about the status of the repo?

Sorry I didn't have time for a proper reply yesterday.

Basically the status is that @chendaniely was unreachable for a very long time, so long that @achimgaedke raised a PEP541 request to take over as maintainer of the PyPI package. At which point @chendaniely returned for long enough to make a new release and open some new tickets. However, I haven't seen any activity since then, so what's going on.

#33 is @chendaniely's view of the status, but I see no activity since 23 Mar 2023 (14 months ago).
