Request to add a output field

we are trying to run a job if the scan was successful, the output from this action is a a file and the file does not created if the scan fail, is little tricky to check the existence of a file within github action. It will be quite straight forward if we have a text field eg "status", the downstream job can then execute based on the value of the status .
Will it be possible to add a new output field ?

@jbrotsos we are trying to fail the build. when a report file is not generated which can be because couple of reason the scan failed and the scan was successfull but the report file did not get generated
