How to add LTI Content to Chamilo2?

Hi all,

I have:

• enabled the IMS/LTI Plugin
• configured an external tool under "/plugin/ImsLti/admin.php"
• added the tool to a course under "/plugin/ImsLti/admin.php"

When I edit the course (Administration ->Course) I can't see how to add in the LTI content? Additionally if I click on Administration->Administration->Platform Management ->External Tools (LTI) I get an empty page. The page displays but is empty.

I am not sure if this is relevant but its the only other thing I can find about LTI in the interface. Any document on how to link to the LTI content in a course?

OK so I figured it out.

You got to go to "Course Maintenance" and then the "IMS CC 1.3" and import the cartridge.

Actually, that's another format, so not the LTI one.
LTI items are added as tools in the course.
Common Cartridge are imported as full courses.

Hi @mxc,

Did you check the README for the LTI plugin? It has a section on installing it. Between other things, your server needs to have the PHP OpenSSL extension enabled.

This plugin is lmslti (plugins/lmslti). I am importing a LTI Thin Common Cartridge (Thin CC). I think.

I read the README.md but its not very clear to me. PHP Openssl is installed:

php -m | grep -i openssl
openssl

I have configured the plugin.

Under Administration -> Platform Management -> External Tools LTI I get a blank screen.

I have added the LMS LTI provider under Course -> Course Settings -> External Tools (LTI)

I am not sure what to do after that.

For LTI 1.3 (selected in the screenshot):

• Copy the deployment data generated by Chamilo on that screen (Client ID, Deployment ID, Keyset/Initiate Login/Redirection URLs).
  

• Go to the external provider's control panel (in this case, Ucertify) and enter those Chamilo credentials to complete the registration on both sides (two-way configuration).
  

• Go to Learning Paths or Links within the Chamilo course, and add a new item/resource by selecting the created LTI tool so students can click and access the content.
  

For LTI 1.0 / 1.1:

• Make sure you have entered the Launch URL, Consumer Key, and Shared Secret provided by the external tool vendor.
  

• Save the form and create the direct shortcut from Learning Paths or Course Links to make it visible to students.
