BEP 52

Support creating v2-compatible torrents. I expect to do this, but if you want it, it wouldn't hurt to ping this issue with your use case.

An interesting use case could also be for data integrity similar to hashdeep for a directory structure. With V2 torrent you can check each file individually unlike V1. Not sure if you can or should omit the part hashes though.
