PLEASE READ: contribution freeze prior to workbench conversion

We are planning to move to the Carpentries new Workbench lesson format and infrastructure within the next month. This will take up most of the maintainer capacity during this time, meaning we won't be able to address pull requests at the normal rate. Furthermore, because of the substantial formatting changes that the Workbench introduces, it is likely that any contributions made in the old format will be difficult to port over. Therefore, we request that you please pause any contributions that you are considering making in this time period. Instead, please raise an issue for your planned contribution.
