Should we reach out to David Pickart, Joe Slote, and Duo Tao about http://carleton.hitsthebooks.com ?

I don't think that repo reflects the running app… since it hasn't seen a commit since last August (2016).

So let's think about this.

I just said "no" to @elijahverdoorn about a Bookstore button in AAO.

Yet, I'm inclined to say "yes" to this one.

Why is that? Because this is peer-to-peer? Because this is done by a couple people who know each other, not a company?

Does this offer something that the bookstore doesn't? (Actually, if this offered bookstore pricing in addition to Amazon pricing, it'd be able to replace the books section…)

This certainly seems useful for students, especially around the beginning of a school year … Which was also my reasoning for not wanting the bookstore, because it's really useful only near the start of a semester.

Hmm.

Where would we put this?

Back to your previous comment, I do not see a reason why we should not have a link to the actual bookstore.

Where would such a link go?

Top level. It seems important enough?
