SyncTrayzor hanging since last version #36
Comments
Can you post your log file? You'll find it in Be aware that the log file will contain your Device IDs. You may want to find/replace these :) |
... I think I might know what's causing this, actually, but that log file will confirm it. |
I just updated to 1.0.10. Same problem. The log file is huge. I tried to attach it, but github won't accept. Any specific string I should look for? |
Here are the last few lines:

The main thing I'm looking for is a ton of events coming down from Syncthing when the GUI is starting up. Does the log snippet you posted cover a period of time where the GUI was unresponsive? |
No, it's not correct. I guess Github removed everything that looked like HTML tags. |
Hmm, what's interesting is that, apparently, Syncthing didn't print anything after "[YAR5H] 10:32:06 INFO: My ID: [REMOVED]" (it should have printed "Starting web GUI on https://127.0.0.1:8384/" straight afterwards). The GUI was also responding well enough for you to click the 'download now' link at 2015-03-23 10:32:43.3850. Can you confirm whether the GUI was indeed unresponsive when that log snippet was taken? It will probably also be handy to post the entire log to http://gist.github.com or similar. The fact that it's massive means that something funky is going on (it's rotated daily, so should never grow too large), but that's not captured in the snippet you posted above. |
I'll wait until it becomes unresponsive again and send the last log lines. I just noticed that in the last version the log file is inside a new subdir, so I wrongly sent the last lines before the update. |
OK thanks. I would still be interested to see the entire log you have, even for v1.0.9 |
It's not responding now. Here are the last few lines:

Righty, my hunch was correct. Syncthing is spamming out log messages, and the GUI's having trouble keeping up. It should resolve itself once Syncthing calms down (and the GUI's had a chance to catch up!), but I'll get a fix out soon. |
I'm glad you find the issue. |
Righty, I pushed v1.0.11 which should fix this. Let me know how you get on |
Apparently, the problem is fixed in v1.0.11. |
I've been using SyncTrayzor for a few weeks. Since last release (or the previous one, I really don't remember) I'm experiencing it hanging a few minutes after the GUI is opened. It will be using 11~13% CPU time in a quad core processor, which means its thread is completely taking its available cpu time. It can't be maximized/restored when this happens. It will only work again if I kill it and start it again. Syncthing keeps working just fine while this happens. The problem won't happen if the GUI is closed. It happens only after the GUI is opened for a few minutes.
