Hello World, I'm Cameron! I'm a computer scientist with a passion for... well, anything computer-related! Unlike most others, I didn't gravitate towards computers or write programs when I was young. Only by chance, and nudges from several mentors, did I end up on this path.
After several years in this field, I’ve developed an identity rooted in curiosity, adaptability, and impact rather than titles alone. My work has included completing a Master’s degree in Computer Science, contributing to cutting-edge academic research with OpenAI, collaborating with Mozilla on open-source software, and supporting, securing, and maintaining mission-critical public safety services.
What’s next for me? I’m glad you asked. I’m working toward a purposeful career in cybersecurity engineering, built on a foundation of Computer Science and CompTIA Security+. I’m particularly interested in understanding systems deeply - from how they fail, to how they can be hardened - while continuing to learn through research, hands-on projects, and open-source work.
My goal is to use this space to share milestones, personal projects, and experiments that reflect my ongoing growth as a developer and security-minded engineer.
