Firstly, this plugin is fantastic. It allows for a simple way of organizing and structuring tasks that was previously missing from all previous solutions without unnecessarily complex querying (looking at you, Tasks).
That said, there is some simple missing functionality that currently significantly hampers the usability of this plugin.
Inline tasks should always include a link to the parent note, stored in its own unique frontmatter property. The current workaround of having to include the parent note as a project makes the project classification messier and less useful. Task interaction should also include the option to navigate to the parent note as either the single or double click action.
Additionally, the "Create new inline task" hotkey should accept any highlighted text as the default note title.
These are things that the Tasks plugin gets right, and a major reason why it has been adopted by so many people. We're using Obsidian for task management because of its ability to integrate tasks seamlessly with notetaking and context. Anything that interrupts the notetaking workflow undermines that usefulness.
