Issues with Youtube "Autoplay" resetting with every new tab and reload #13322

One only one of my laptops, Youtube's "autoplay" function (the one that opens up the next video automatically, not about videos playing automatically when you open the page) keeps switching back to autoplay on.
I have a second laptop with brave installed that kept the setting for autoplay off. Both have Brave Shields up and both have UBlock Origin installed (though only the one that has the issue as Ublock Origin Extras) and I tried with either and both off.
Other browser on this computer don't have issues keeping Youtube's autoplay/next video setting off.
I did mess with Youtube on Brave about a year ago to keep the old site layout for a while but accidentally switched to the new, current version where I've had this issue ever since.
I assume this is more of an issue on my end with cookies and scripts but haven't found where the issue actually manifests.

Hi @dapedraza Are you still having issues with YouTube and autoplay? Can you update to our latest 1.23.71 and for future issues, use our issue template https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/new/choose so we can understand what you're using and have some clearer steps to reproduce what you're experiencing.

Maybe this should be linked to #14266 (and maybe even closed, at least for now - seems like only very user-specific settings trigger this behavior).

Insofar no, I would try an incognito run, all plugins and so on OFF, or worst case' a clean Brave install. Also, which OS is in question here?
