By default backing up home directories includes a lot of unnecessary and possibly rapidly changing stuff.
Requested Solution
There should be an additional exclude preset for these cases. Maybe some inspiration could be taken from the quite usable defaults list of backintime? Here's a link to their patterns.
What I find especially useful is to exclude trash folders (being obsoleted by backups, though probably harmless because of deduplication) and caches in ~/.cache/ (27 GB here).
