1. did you patch the right boot.img? you might have done it for an older version like 16.0.5.1001 or 16.0.0.300
2. try using a task manager app and see what eats so much cpu/ram
   you might have patched the wrong boot.img , i recommend you flashing your stock boot.img from your full ota package (use osupdater to get your latest ota package and extract the boot.img from payload.bin), beware that this erases your root, i'm not using apatch, but if there's any uninstall feature for your root, do it and recheck if your ota package is correct

if you don't want to lose root, disable all of your modules and try to play BGMI, if it still lags then it is probably apatch's fault or wrong boot.img you used for rooting your phone, if it doesn't lag, enable your modules one by one to see which causes the lag

i tried apatch, and it had the same heating problem as you described, i recommend you use kernelsu next on lkm or magisk for now
when the kernel source for releases, you can a built-in kernelsu kernel, i don't recommend you using Wildkernels (when i used them, there was something constantly waking up the cpu)
