VoodooI2CHID.kext causes the trackpad to not be detected as a trackpad. Back tracked to an older version fixed it, but the version included in the pack causes the trackpad malfunction.

It seems your laptop uses USB to connect to the trackpad. So in that case the VoodooI2CHID.kext is not needed.
As far as i know AlpsHID hasn't been tested with the USB versions but is based on AlpsT4USB so it should in principle work on USB aswell.
If you could upload a IOReg report that would help alot.
edit: Perhaps it could have something to do with the version of Mac OS you are running. I have only tested it on Mac OS 11 and 12. Not sure on which version @blankmac was running when he used/developed the Alps4TUSB driver. There have been reports of other users using older versions of Mac OS that had some issues that were fixed after upgrading Mac OS.
