Proposal

Currently the minimum payout at mediation is 2.5% of trade amount. This proposal suggests to increase this amount to be 5% of trade amount.

Reasoning

With the introduction do not pay out the security deposit of the trade peer to the arbitration case winner there needs to be a bigger incentive for the penalized party to accept the mediation proposal to prevent the trade entering arbitration. This is because if the trade enters arbitration it will cause a delayed payout transaction and result in the penalized party likely not getting any reimbursement, and the non-penalized party likely not getting any compensation as a result.

Outcome

Make the penalized party more likely to accept mediation by incentivizing them to receive a minimum of 5% of the trade amount (currently twice the minimum they can receive).

Solution

Update the minimum payout a trader can receive to be 5% of the trade amount.
