Bisq version: 2.1.0
OS: Windows 11

Scenario 1: Both the peers online.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the app.
  2. Wait for 'Requesting network data...' in left side bar to change to 'Network data received'
  3. Go to a trade and start sending message (In my case, I sent 3 messages: 12, 3 and 4. Video attached)

Expected:

Messages should deliver in order to the peer.

Observed:

  1. The other party received only 1st and 3rd message (12 and 4).
  2. It took few mins for the 2nd message (3) to get delivered. (Not shown in video, but it happened later)

Scenario 2: Async chat. Both the peers go online and offline and exchange messages

This happened with a real trade. So didn't take screenshot / video.

Expected:

Messages should deliver in order to the peer.

Observed:

  1. Some messages got delivered very late, which creates confusion.

Scenario 3: Unread message count badge in 'Private chats' not marking themselves as read.

  1. I have multiple private chats.
  2. I have read all the messages.
  3. I close and reopen the app.

Expected:

  1. Private chats tab shouldn't show any numbers. As all received messages are read.

Observed:

  1. Private chats tab shows numbers (1 in the screenshot above). On clicking it, some read chats are shown as unread.
