Detailed instructions for adding synchronizers, providers, & publishes

Hi, I'm trying to evaluate the effort required to add different synchronisers and publish targets, but it's hard to evaluate without digging through the code and reverse engineering a current one. Is it possible to get more detailed instructions on what needs to be done in order to get these end points developed?

P.S. I'm looking in to #346 #122 & possibly some faster storage engines, but I need to provides reasonable estimates to get sign off.

@benweet Yeah, I'm just buried ATM and was wondering if I could get a recipe instead of a list of ingredients, if that makes sense.
