hey the jekyll now theme isnt really doing it for me

is there an easy way to re-set my git to a different quickstart jekyll repo (like hyde)?

In theory, you should be able to just copy your stuff to a new fork (looks like OP already did that).

  1. fork Hyde/MinimalMistakes/etc
  2. copy the contents of _posts/ into your new hyde repo and push
  3. rename your NAME.github.io repo to NAME.github.io_old
  4. rename your hyde repo to NAME.github.io
  5. update the _config.yml in your new NAME.github.io repo and push

You'll lose any customization from the old one, but I think you can rename back if you change your mind.
