Bambu Studio Version

1.8.2.56

Where is the application from?

Bambu Lab Official website

OS version

macOS 12.7.2

Additional system information

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) 4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 24 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Printer

Bambu Lab A1

How to reproduce

  1. Install Polymaker PolyLite PET-G
  2. Configure printer for Polymaker PolyLite PET-G
  3. Select PolyLite PET-G profile in Bambu Studio
  4. Print model

Actual results

Model prints with extremely poor quality: gaps, pilling of material, stringing. Print may fail entirely as parts become dislodged. The cause is an excessive print speed for this filament. The filament spool states it's intended to print at 30-50 mm/sec. However, when used with the presets in Bambu Studio, it attempts to print at 200-300 mm/s, resulting in major print defects. These are especially noticeable with infill. Activating advanced mode and reducing print speeds to 50 mm/sec results in prints with good quality as expected.

Expected results

Model prints with good quality: no gaps, no pilling, minimal stringing
