Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

unless I'm missing something, there's no way to hide the panel immediately upon picking a color
the user has to take the extra step of closing the panel with the x or clicking away after picking a color

Describe the solution you'd like

a smoother user experience would be to allow the checkmark submit button to hide the panel
