LA Historical Markers uses your location to show distances between you and nearby markers and to determine the location of any markers you submit to us. Location data is only stored in the case of user submitted markers. In this case, we store your current location as the location of the marker, however this data is not associated with you or your device - it is strictly used to approximate the location of the marker for other users.
LA Historical Markers also stores other user generated content, namely the Title and Description of the markers themselves. This information is submitted by users and verified by an administrator before it is displayed on the map. Any and all user generated content is submitted anonymously and is not in any way associated with your device or your information. In the future, we may include photos and other user generated content, but none of this will be associated with yourself or your device.
LA Historical Markers does not collect any other user information. It is, however, developed using a platform called Expo, which includes APIs for collecting device identifiers and other advertising related information. These features are not currently used within the app, but we disclose this because they exist and could be used in the future.
Any questions about our Privacy Policy can be posted here or in a new discussion under the Q&A topic.
