Support ComicInfo.xml metadata #23
Comments
Bump for this! It is a key issue for .cbz files, as most comic book managers rely on metadata xml's. Literally every single one of my thousands of cbz's have metadata xml's. I sure as heck do not want to subject the conversion process to the --force command just to get around this! I like my metadata Intact! |
This definitely needs to be fixed, I use ComicInfo.xml in all my thousands of cbz files for metadata. |
I'll try to add this next month. In the middle of moving so haven't had time to dedicate to this project at all lately, I apologize. If you want to you can also open a pull request. |
Please do this. I'm hoping this is not a dead or forgotten project because it seems it would be very useful but I also have a ton of cbz files that contain this metadata that I would like to preserve. |
I'll put in my two cents, if there's a chance of implementing it. I believe it would be good thing to copy over every non-image file type, as I've come across a bunch of cbz files with .json or .yaml metadata files, which I would like to be copied as well. |
If a ComicInfo.xml (https://github.com/anansi-project/comicinfo) file is present in the archive conversion fails, if "--force" is used the file is not copied to the destination.
Ideally metadata files like this can be copied directly to the destination without processing.
