If a ComicInfo.xml (https://github.com/anansi-project/comicinfo) file is present in the archive conversion fails, if "--force" is used the file is not copied to the destination.

Ideally metadata files like this can be copied directly to the destination without processing.

Bump for this! It is a key issue for .cbz files, as most comic book managers rely on metadata xml's. Literally every single one of my thousands of cbz's have metadata xml's. I sure as heck do not want to subject the conversion process to the --force command just to get around this! I like my metadata Intact!

This definitely needs to be fixed, I use ComicInfo.xml in all my thousands of cbz files for metadata.
The tool looks great otherwise, but if it yeets metadata it's kinda pointless to use for people with large well organised collections.

I'll try to add this next month. In the middle of moving so haven't had time to dedicate to this project at all lately, I apologize. If you want to you can also open a pull request.

Please do this. I'm hoping this is not a dead or forgotten project because it seems it would be very useful but I also have a ton of cbz files that contain this metadata that I would like to preserve.

I'll put in my two cents, if there's a chance of implementing it. I believe it would be good thing to copy over every non-image file type, as I've come across a bunch of cbz files with .json or .yaml metadata files, which I would like to be copied as well.
