The readme talks about being loosely based on the nginxinc/ngx-rust project. The readme of ǹgx-rust` mentions that the setup requires a C stub for a proper setup but suggest that future versions will not need this stub.
In this project there is no information regarding the necessity of adding a stub. In addition the project nginxinc/ngx-istio-mixer mentioned in #4 adds to the confusion, as the authors of ngx-istio-mixer use the ''old setup'' based on their ngx-rust repository. Could you clarify if there is any necessity for a C stub, does it suffice to build a cdylib, etc.?
