Currently there is alot of retrocompatibility in the project. There is a need to lunch a major version with only newest versions for php, monolog/monolog, illuminate/console, ext-rdkafka and phpunit/phpunit.
I don't understand. Releasing a new version that supports only the newest version of all dependencies while having another one with all the retro compatibility seems like unnecessary extra work. I agree with dropping versions no longer supported by vendors (like PHP 7.2), but we should support any dependency still supported by vendors.
