Having two front doors is a weird pattern, we should have both api.estuary.tech and upload.estuary.tech execute the same logic and be smart so if a user tries to do something other than uploading but forgets to point the url to api.estuary.tech and instead uses upload.estuary.tech that should not punish them, they should both work the same.
