Sincerely thank everyone who constantly keeps on using and supporting Kvrocks. We will try our best to make Kvrocks better and make the community and ecology more prosperous.

The original intention of this issue

• We’d like to listen to the community for making Kvrocks better
• We want to attract more partners to contribute to Kvrocks
• Learn more about the practical use scenarios of Kvrocks
• Learn about your new feature request to facilitate the next step of planning

What we expect from you

Please submit a comment in this issue to include the following information:

• your company, school, or organization and its logo (which is allowed to be used for demonstration in our website)
• (optional) your city and country
• (optional) your contact info: email, Twitter or whatever
• (optional) what scenario do you use Kvrocks / what new feature do you expect for Kvrocks

• hash fields expiration is on the road, see Add ExHash type, support field expire #408, we would finish it in next several months
• latest rocksdb version, we also have a plan
• re-implement new features from redis 7.0rc1: 7.0 has two many features, we may not support all things, but we always continue to make kvrocks more compatible with redis

• We use kvrocks for multiple projects to replace Redis especially on large data-set used for digital forensic, threat intelligence and data mining
• hash field expiration but everything already implemented is working quite well on various production systems

We are looking forward to the WATCH command support #315. Also test cases to ensure that kvrocks will always be backward compatible with how it uses rocksdb to store complicated types, such as lists, zset, etc.. would be nice.

@DenizPiri Thanks for your feedback. The WATCH has already in our 2023 roadmap and will start a discussion if someone has time to drive this feature. And for test cases, we have many test cases for the correctness and compatibility with Redis: https://github.com/apache/incubator-kvrocks/tree/unstable/tests

I was referring to tests that load DB files from older versions of KVrocks and make sure that it can read the structs out of that. I assume rocksdb should be very well tested for backward compatibility. But, for example, if KVrocks changes the way it stores a ZSET using rocksdb keys, I assume everything in the current tests folder would still pass, but older users wouldn't be able to upgrade to a newer version without data loss.
