EAGLE Parser is an analysis platform geared toward large, multi-term queries of the EAGLE inscription database (www.eagle-network.eu/). It is a product of a presentation for the Brandeis University Classic Department’s 2016 Graduate student symposium.
It performs a query using EAGLE’s API, parses the resulting XML into a MySQL database, and then manipulates the data from there. Geographic coordinates are obtained either from the Pleiades Plus CSV dump (github.com/ryanfb/pleiades-plus) or the Google Maps Geocoding API (developers.google.com/maps/documentation/geocoding/intro?hl=en_US).
