About podcasts' download location

Not sure it is the right place to ask here ?

But I can't manage to find the location where the podcasts' episodes are stored.

I want to copy them to new devices (other phones and my PC) and possibly play them with vlc. Is it possible ?

I think it would be a good idea if we can choose the download locations like in browsers

Btw, I am not a flutter dev but a SoftEng. So if it is possible and a wanted feature. I would consider contribute and implement it myself.

Hi @tony-nht,

Anytime uses internal directories that are not exposed to the end user. It does mean that it's not possible to find the downloads outside of Anytime, but the internal directory is always available to the app; external ones and SD cards are not. The restrictions around file locations are getting tighter so this is the simplest option for now.

In the future I might look to, on Android, add an option to save it to a media sub-directory.

Yeah, I can see the restrictions and why they do it. But then I think an exporting data feature maybe useful for multi-device users. (I use podcasts mainly for learning foreign languages, so being able to listen / re-listen or further processing on other devices is a huge plus for me)

Btw, I just want to say thanks for the app! Loving its experience and its simplicity so far.

Yes, I would agree and I have been thinking an export function would be useful; not just for the audio but also for the transcripts.
