Description

This may be actually be a combination of features (templates and backfill). Also, this is definitely in the nice-to-have or future features category.

The intent here would be to allow users of the plugin to create a complete newsletter from a template (probably a rollup of several posts) that would be automatically populated (or backfilled) with posts from a specific feed. This feed could be:

  • all posts
  • posts in a category or tag
  • posts from a specific author

Use Case

Streetsblog (one of the publishers on the Lede platform) used to use Mailchimp, which provided functionality for automatically generating (and sending?) emails containing links/posts from a provided RSS feed. They want to recreate this functionality.
