Investigate how one may detect low battery level/low voltage. Warn user/pilot in suitable way.

Perhaps the battery interface connector can be used to monitor each cell's level. Investigate further by checking the output when battery is connected and studying the battery data sheet. Use ADC?

According to section 7.2.2 in the RM0316 STM32F3-Discovery Reference Manual there is a Programmable Voltage Detector which monitors the VDD power supply to the FCB.
