Wrong to try to use GridList for a todo list?

At first glance GridList seems great for building out a todo list.

• Renders a list of items
• Add a checkbox with select handling
• Action handling for clicking the item body to show more info
• Drag and drop functionality for prioritzing
  etc.

But then looking deeper it doesn't quite fit, GridList is based around selecting items, when I would want to remove and item when the checkbox is clicked. Also I'd want to only remove the item when the checkbox itself is clicked but the body action also triggers the selection. These feel like things I could hack around, but I'm wondering if I'm approaching it wrong and should not be using GridList as a starting point.

I think you might want to specifically check out this section of the docs https://react-spectrum.adobe.com/react-aria/GridList.html#row-actions
Clicking the row triggers an action, only clicking the checkbox triggers selection. You can remove the item onSelectionChange.

If that's not working out, maybe a little codesandbox/stackblitz demo of what you're trying to do would be helpful in illustrating if anything is falling short.
