Installer doesn't register Brackets as a Run command #7482

  1. Press :windows-key: + R to get the run dialog
  2. type in Brackets
    ==> Nothing happens.

I expect to type in Brackets and get Brackets.

@JeffryBooher How common is this? It doesn't seem to work for Word either...

Hmm... you sure it's just not finding .exe filenames that happen to be in the path then? Doesn't seem like a deliberately intended user-facing behavior if you have to know to type the low-level filename...

I believe there is a "run" command section in the registry that you register your app with. This isn't a high priority.

It's a best practice but a low priority.
