Mac OS 10.6 - Crashes on launch every time #4394
Comments
sprint 27 crash to... |
Where is the plugin folder? |
I've got the same probleme as Manuite, with the same logs... |
@AlexRider38 - are you on 10.6.x as well? Wonder if this is a 10.6 issue with the latest CEF. |
Marking high priority to me for Sprint 28. I think I have a 10.6 machine I can check this out on. |
@njx Yes i'm on OS X 10.6.x |
Confirmed on various 10.6 machines here. Must be the new CEF. |
To @gruehle to own the issue going forward. |
Hi, Brackets v27 crashed too on my windows 7 machine ( I opened issue #4400 if It's not related ) |
Same here (Coming from Issue #4473). Though in my case there was no Bracket folder in App Support and even when adding it, it still crashed the same way. 10.6.x Mac Mini rather than MBP here. |
Same here, deleted version 26 and installed 27. Version 27 keep crashing, I can't make it launch. |
This is a problem with CEF. A patch just landed in CEF, so this will be fixed when we get the next CEF build. |
Updated title so it stands out better in search results (was: "[macbookpro 10.6.8 - sprint 27] Crashes on launch..."). |
Fixed in adobe/brackets-shell#287. This fix will be in the Sprint 28 build, which should be posted in the next few days. |
Reopening since sprint 28 now uses 3.1453.1279. This is the same as sprint 27. See #4571. |
Note that I'm not tracking this on the Sprint 29 bug card because this is basically contingent on fixing the CEF crash in https://trello.com/c/gIwbocii/938-3-cef-crash-issues |
@JeffryBooher Moving to Sprint 30 as we seem to have to pick up the new CEF. |
I've got the same problem with sprint 28. <snip: same stack trace> |
@AlexRider38 Yes, the bug is not fixed yet :-) I clipped out your stack trace after checking that it's the same as the one above. We understand why the crash is happening, and it will be fixed as soon as we're able to integrate a new CEF build (most likely Sprint 30). |
Ok |
Confirmed fixed in Sprint 30. |
I'm having the same problem with Sprint 37 all the way back to Sprint 30 (didn't test any farther back). Also running OSX 10.6.8. |
@gitasong I can run Brackets (just tested Sprint 37) on Mac OSX 10.6.8. What errors are you seeing? Can you paste in your crash log? |
I get the following error message: Crash Report (this was Sprint 30; I'll have to run it with 37): Date/Time: 2014-04-07 10:16:10.674 -0700 Interval Since Last Report: 167642 sec Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS) Thread 0 Crashed: CrBrowserMain Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread Thread 1: Dispatch queue: com.apple.libdispatch-manager Thread 2: Thread 3: NetworkConfigWatcher Thread 4: DnsConfigService Thread 5: WorkerPool/20995 Thread 6: WorkerPool/21507 Thread 7: Chrome_DBThread Thread 8: Chrome_WebKitThread Thread 9: Chrome_FileThread Thread 10: Chrome_FileUserBlockingThread Thread 11: Chrome_ProcessLauncherThread Thread 12: Chrome_CacheThread Thread 13: Chrome_IOThread Thread 14: MediaStreamDeviceThread Thread 15: NetworkConfigWatcher Thread 16: BrowserBlockingWorker1/32515 Thread 17: Chrome_DevToolsHandlerThread Thread 18: Thread 19: Proxy resolver Thread 0 crashed with X86 Thread State (32-bit): Binary Images: Model: MacBookPro5,4, BootROM MBP53.00AC.B03, 2 processors, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.53 GHz, 4 GB, SMC 1.49f2 |

Sorry for the delay -- I missed this response because this issue is Closed. We recently released Sprint 38, so try again with that. If you are still seeing problem then open a new issue. Thanks. |
Done; thanks. See new thread here: #7647 |
... even though sprint 26 never crashed once.
I tried to remove Application Support/Brackets to no avial.
I also noted it had time to create an Application Support/Bracket/cef_data empty folder before crashing.
