Chrome Developer tools breaks Live Preview

After launching Live Preview on a page, and confirming that changes to the document are updating in the browser, opening the Chrome Developer Tools (either with F12, or using inspect element from the context menu) breaks the Live Preview functionality.
There is no indication within Brackets that the connection to the browser has been severed. The lightning icon in the upper right is still yellow, but reactivating Live Preview opens another browser instance.

Yes, this is an unfortunate but known issue on our backlog: https://trello.com/c/Vw9YuUss. (However, in my testing, it does seem that the lightning icon goes off.) We also have an open pull request #2178 to give a better notification when this happens.
