First, I've tried to use Trello but I can't find a way to open a new issue...

I think would be nice have icons related to the files that can be opened with Brackets and are associated to it.

Something like what happens with other Adobe softwares, where .PSD, .PNG, .AI etc have their icon instead of a white icon.

Currently this is the situation:

if you make Brackets your default editor for something like an XML file, all XML files will get the Brackets icon. This is what worked for me in Windows 7. This is currently not working, because something like Photoshop makes itself defualt for some type of files and Brackets doesn't.

@FezVrasta It works for me too. Can you say what steps you're taking to associate Brackets with the file extension? And is this an installed copy of Brackets or a dev (git repo) copy?

Fwiw the file association I tested with was a dev copy of Brackets, and I created the association by right-clicking a file, then Open With > Choose default program....
