Experimentation pill not showing up in aem.page previews

Expected Behaviour

The experimentation pill will appear in the Preview of sites authored in doc-based authoring, generated from the wknd (aem-boilerplate) repository that includes experimentation.

Actual Behaviour

The experimentation pill only appears when the preview URL is manually changed to hlx.page and does not appear with the default preview URL, which is aem.page
