Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Typollama ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

Typollama is a Chrome extension that provides AI-powered spell-checking and text processing capabilities using various AI providers (Ollama, OpenAI, LM Studio, DeepSeek, Mistral, Perplexity, Google's Generative Language API, Anthropic's Claude API).

3. Privacy & Data Collection

3.1 Data Processing

  • The Extension processes text only when explicitly activated by the user
  • Text is processed locally when using Ollama/LM Studio
  • Text is sent to OpenAI servers when using OpenAI integration

3.2 Data Storage

  • The Extension stores only configuration settings locally
  • No user content or processed text is permanently stored
  • API keys are stored securely in Chrome's protected storage

4. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of their API keys
  • Ensuring they have proper rights to process any text
  • Complying with AI providers' terms of service
  • Using the Extension in accordance with applicable laws

5. Third-Party Services

The Extension integrates with third-party AI providers:

  • OpenAI API
  • Ollama
  • LM Studio
  • DeepSeek
  • Mistral
  • Perplexity
  • Google's Generative Language API
  • Anthropic's Claude API

These services are used to process text based on user settings.

Users must comply with these services' respective terms of use.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

7. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE CREATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes.
