The documentation does not mention all the steps necessary to run the project localy. As we also need to add the migrations to the database and then run them so changing it might be helpful for faster setup of new contributers.

I will rewrite the documentation soon and try to make the installation a bit simpler. In the meantime, if you face any issues please list them here.

Also the docs reference a branch configured for vercel... but I'm not seeing it - is that outdated info?

Yes, the deployment is done directly from the main branch now.

I'd love to see minimum and recommended hardware requirements in the documentation.

I have no idea what the "minimum" requirements should be. My dev instance takes up barely 100M or so of RAM including the SQL server. It should pretty much run on everything.
