A filter to exclude CPTs/categories from Internal Link Suggestions

The Internal Link Suggestions feature is pretty heavy for large sites. Also, it's suggestions are not very useful when the site has several different types of content: reviews, news, podcasts, how-to, guides etc.

I have a team of authors and it's really hard to help them find evergreen content in all of the news articles. I believe that this feature, with the some tuning, could be very helpful and have a direct impact in our traffic.

A config screen or a hook, to filter which CPTs/categories should be considered in the link suggestions.

Why do you think this feature is something we should consider for the Yoast SEO plugins?

Internal links has the potencial to bring fast results in rankings, but this features is kinda useless in larger/older sites. Also, as its a Pro feature (an important one), i think it deserves more attention. Other plugins (like link whisper) already have this level of configuration.

Additional context

As i mentioned, in larger/older sites this feature is practicaly useless:

• Too heavy (takes forever to generate suggestions);
• The suggestions are not good (we need to reinforce evergreen content, not old news from 3 years ago).

In our case, narrowing the CPTs that would be suggested would make it useful.
