I've spent most of my career working on software development of autonomous forklifts and other autonomous material handling vehicles.
Realizing how much time was wasted as a developer I grew more and more interested in automating manual tasks and software engineering efficiency overall.
This made me change career path and pitch myself on becoming a full fledged DevOps person.
In my current role a spend the days developing pipelines, automations, working with packaging and release flows as well as deployments, automated testing and overall tooling for my developer colleagues.
I find it utterly satisfying to write clean Python code and building small CLI tools which makes life easier for my fellow developer colleagues.
Because you can't build a modern software organization with only product developers and no architects, testers, devops people and system engineers...
