By looking at https://www.nuget.org/stats/packages/semver?groupby=Version it appears there are lots of people still using the 1.x version. It might help them transition if there were release notes for what changed in 2.x

Release notes have been written for releases back to v2.0.3 (the first v2 release). The old v1.x.x releases are old enough I don't think it makes sense to try to write release notes for them.
