Flowpilot Goes Multi-AI: Gemini, Groq, Claude, OpenAI & More

We just shipped a major update to OpenFlowKit and I wanted to share what's new — plus we're launching publicly on Product Hunt today.

What's new in this release

🤖 Flowpilot now supports 6 AI providers + custom endpoints

Flowpilot (our AI diagram generation feature) used to be Gemini-only. That changes today.

You can now connect your own key from any of these providers:

Your API key is stored in localStorage on your device only. It never touches our servers — that's the whole point of BYOK.

🎨 Rebuilt AI Settings panel

The Settings → Flowpilot section got a full redesign:

• Logo dock with animated selection — no more layout jumps on provider change
• Per-provider setup guides — step-by-step instructions that appear when your key field is empty, showing exactly where to get your key and whether there's a free tier
• Model selector with grouped model list (Flagship / Reasoning / Speed / Legacy) across all providers
• Custom endpoint explainer — when you select Custom, it explains what an OpenAI-compatible endpoint is, with example providers (Ollama, LM Studio, Together.ai)
• BYOK privacy section — clear explanation of why your key stays local

Trying it out

1. Go to openflowkit.com (or run locally with npm run dev)
2. Open Settings → Flowpilot
3. Pick a provider, paste your API key
4. Click the sparkle icon in the top toolbar and describe a diagram

If you're on a budget, start with Gemini or Groq — both have generous free tiers and no credit card required.
