Ways artists could be promoted on VocaDB, since it is lacking.

I think it would be cool to display a producer's milestones/achievements better.

The achievements could be displayed on the artist entry.

For example:

  • produced over 100 songs
  • produced over 500 songs
  • 10 songs reached 100 k views (based on viewcount songlists)
  • 3 songs reached 1 million views (based on viewcount songlists)
  • 2 songs were used in games (based on game songlists or game tags)
  • 4 songs were played in concerts (based on event setlists/songlists or event entries)
  • 6 songs in song rankings (based on vocaloid ranking songlists or VocaDB song rankings)
  • appeared in over 100 albums
  • followed by over 100 users
  • "master" of specific voice synths (based on usage and ratings or views)
    etc.

The achievements could be calculated automatically by the system.
They could have different levels and be displayed as bronze. silver, gold and platinum badges or similar.
Additional option: When you click on each achievement, it would show which song/album entries are meant in a popup window.

Another way to promote artists would be to add a section on to the front page, similar to how there are "Random popular albums" and "Featured songs". Maybe "Random popular producer", based on follow count, song ratings or similar.
It could also be based on a voting system and its voting results by users, for example every month.

A third way to promote artists would be to interview them and display the interview on VocaDB in some way.
However, that would require people to make these interviews (contact the artist, write down questions, talk or text with the artist).
