TouhouDB
TouhouDB-specific
It would seem that the automatic spam detection is a bit trigger-happy. For context, on TouhouDB, I did the following
within roughly an hour or two of creating my account. I do admit that's a bit fast so I can see why it did that, but the way that automod handles these things leaves a bit to be desired.
That is, it instantly disables the account. It also doesn't leave a site indicator, email, or any other way for the user to know that this has happened.
I believe that to be way too over-the-top. My suggestion is that automod rate-limits offending accounts rather than immediately disabling them, and also notifies the user of this.
Additionally, I think it might be bugged. The TouhouDB admin opened my account back up, but as soon as I edited my profile once, the automod disabled the account yet again. This seems to be unintentional behavior.
