[Linux] HUD scaling/positioning different between Linux and Windows #197
Comments

Didn't realise this bug was Linux-specific. Happens to me as well (NVidia GTX 570). Looks like your HUD is not scaled properly. |
Mac OS X (Mavericks) affected as well. Scaling the HUD mitigated the issue in my case. |
Same here on Ubuntu 14.04, this really disturbs the game. |
Same here |
Could you rename this issue to "Incorrect HUD positioning & scaling by default" or something that reflects the problem better? I see the same effect with 2560x1440 on Linux. |
@RobinJ1995 try to set 'safezonex' & 'safezoney' to 1. For some reason it is set to 0.85 (or something, I don't remember exactly) by default in linux client. |
@nanno Thanks! I wonder why they changed it for the Linux client... That's a bug. |
I'm affected too. |
Closing as this appears to have been fixed. If anyone is still experiencing this issue with a clean config, please leave a comment and we can reopen. |
Just downloaded CSGO on my new xubuntu installation and i have the same issue. |
The HUD positioning and scaling are different between linux/osx and windows. This makes arms race unplayable unless you change the HUD scale in the options.
