Using Valve Index with Knuckles, tried with both SteamVR stable and beta

I confirm:

that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Symptoms

Game doesn't start, shows a black screen in VR

Reproduction

Start the game
(pressing any buttons on the controllers shows no effect)
However a differently-shaped mouse cursor appear on the mirrored display on the screen.

protontricks 2878270 vcrun2015 made it work.
