String with multiple dots is seen as integer

When useing a string with multiple dots it is parsed number instead of string.

string: "1.3.6.1.4.1.9839.2.1.1.8.0" is not a valid number but it is still parsed as a number.

Hi @alainlecluse I added a test case for this and I can't repro this issue. Was the string quoted?

My test case:

JsonString = "{""string"":""1.3.6.1.4.1.9839.2.1.1.8.0""}"
Set JsonObject = JsonConverter.ParseJson(JsonString)

.Expect(JsonObject).ToNotBeUndefined
.Expect(JsonObject("string")).ToEqual "1.3.6.1.4.1.9839.2.1.1.8.0"

Sorry my initial explanation did not specificy that i was trying to convert a Dictionary object to String.

Function testoutput(strInputValue As String) As String

    Dim dictResult As Dictionary
    Set dictResult = New Dictionary

    dictResult.Add "outcome", strInputValue

    testoutput = JsonConverter.ConvertToJson(dictResult)
End Function
