Umamusume English Translations

English community translation repository for the Umamusume: Pretty Derby game.
This is a continuation of the UmaTL project's translations for use with the Hachimi patch.

Install / Use

If you're already using Hachimi, do only step 4, then let Hachimi update when you play the game.

1. Uninstall any current patches.
   • For UmaTL, run update.bat (recent improvements for uninstalling) followed by uninstall.bat
2. Download and install Hachimi.
3. Start the game, select a repo, then cancel the update Hachimi offers.
   • If this UmaTL repo is listed, select it, accept the update/download, and skip the rest of the steps.
4. Adjust Hachimi's config or use our release.
   1. Go to your game install folder (with umamusume.exe, something like C:\DMMGames\Umamusume)
   2. Open the config.json file found in the hachimi folder there in a text editor.
   3. Change the "localized_data_dir" from null to localized_data.
   4. Change the link in "translation_repo_index" to https://raw.githubusercontent.com/UmaTL/hachimi-tl-en/release/index.json
5. Use right arrow key in game to open Hachimi.
6. In the Hachimi menu, press Reload config followed by Check updates and download the update.

Updating

Hachimi will automatically check when you open the game. If an update is available, you'll be asked if you want to download it and it will be immediately applied.
