software button activation

Hy,

i've put your fork on a nodemcu board and connected to my Spa (probably different version, but similar buttons/wires ;) )
reading actually works - but when i send a button press it actually just activates the Jet, instead of setting temperature down or up.

i did not connect the Speaker of the board as i want to put in the bottom - might that break it ?
or might the nodemcu board be different than your smaller footprint ESP
also one more detail -> the normal buttons on the board on top dont work anymore as soon as i put the resistor into d0 pin.
